How to Read a map and use a compass

Watch as "4-H Forestry Facts" shows you how to survive in a forest or any other environment using a map and a compass. When holding a compass the needle will always point to the direction of north because of the poles of the Earth and the magnetic pull of the compass. After knowing which direction is North you can then figure out what direction is South, East and West. Then looking at the map you can see where it is you need to go.
