How To: Start a fire with a single match

Start a fire with a single match

This how-to video is about how to start a fire with a single match stick by Shannon Davis. This video is really helpful especially for those who are going for trucking. If we get struck in the middle of nowhere and if we are in a situation to spend the whole night in the forest definitely this video is very helpful. Before we begin to start a fire we need to gather wooden sticks of different sizes varying from tiny tender straws to hard wooden sticks having thickness of our wrist. First we need to prepare the place for starting the fire, choose a flat and dry place which is well away from any dry trees, then form a boundary layer using stones in a circular fashion, once this is done take three tiny wooden sticks of pencil thickness and place them in a triangular shape on each other, then prepare the tender straws, we need to separate the straw if they are thicker, after separating just roll them to form a bundle, place is bundle just above the triangular wooden stand, then we start arranging the other sticks over the bundle, make sure that we don't over- load the sticks. After arranging the sticks, take a single match stick and light it, then we can easily fire the entire wooden sticks by introducing the match stick below the triangular stick stand that is kept at the bottom which acts like a stand, if we put the match stick there, the tender bundle will catch fire and will enable the other wooden sticks to catch fire uniformly.

This video is really helpful, especially the method of starting the fire from a single match stick is really helpful and it's also a time-saving approach.
